It's wonderfully plush with thick, dense tufting, and it features an iconic cattail design that was quite popular in the 1930s. A relic of the Art Deco era that is now many decades old, this bedspread continues to bring a presence of elegance wherever it's displayed.
A warm, golden beige dominates the color palette, with accents of wine and mauve. Rich, dark wine tufting along the drop sides offers an excellent visual contrast.
Shabby attributes: while the fabric remains strong and thick, there are several areas of what I assume are paint speckles (visible on reverse) and what appear to be dye markings, samples seen in final collage img. Still, this is a beautiful example of an early chenille bedspread in a seldom seen design.
