Vintage chenille rug features a traditional anchor and stars design on rich blue, accented in red and white. Excellent, heavyweight quality with dense thick tufting. A wonderful example of true midcentury American craftsmanship.100% cotton. Measures approx 23" Wide x 48.5" Long, so it will make a nice size accent mat in your bedroom, bath, or wherever you're inspired to display it. This is a heavy mat, not one of the thin flimsy ones that were common during the MCM era.
Note that if the blue tufts are brushed a certain way, you'll see the white backing peek through, as seen final img. I don't detect any major issues - the rug remains strong with no thinning.
*This chenille rug has NO rubber or other non-slip backing, so please take that into consideration if safety is a concern. Most early chenille mats did not have any type of non-skid backing, so it can move around.
